Wetsuits for Comfort, Warmth and Protection

For water sports enthusiasts, wetsuits are the best protective gear whenever they go surfing, wakeboarding, snorkeling or scuba diving. These suits are often black-colored and made from stretchable material to fit snugly on the body.

Wetsuits

Wetsuits come in various designs and style and they may come in a form of a vest, a whole body suit covering the arms and legs, or a long john that covers the body and the legs but exposed the arms, or a short wetsuit depending on the needs of the wearer’s body. They are primarily made for protection against the cold particularly when submerged underwater for a long period to avoid hypothermia.

Hypothermia is a condition where normal body functions are drastically altered due to loss of body heat. Staying underwater even in temperate waters could drain a person’s body heat more than ever when scuba diving or snorkeling. Because of these suits, surfing and wakeboarding are now possible even in cold months. Wetsuits had made water sports more enjoyable in most times of the year, especially in places that may be too cold for the body.

In triathlon, it can greatly contribute to the wearer’s buoyancy and this could mean greater speed. Be sure to look for one that will make you look good, perform better, and stay in the water longer.
